Mount Washington Cruises Announces Historic Schedule Expansion

Mount Washington Cruises is proud to announce the most significant changes to its summer schedule in decades. The Winnipesaukee fleet is expanding its reach with a new vessel, new routes, and unprecedented connectivity between Lake Winnipesaukee’s most popular towns.

"These are historic changes for our company and for tourism on the lake," said Jared Maraio, General Manager of Mount Washington Cruises. "We are thrilled to offer our passengers more flexibility and unique ways to experience the Big Lake than ever before."

New Monday–Saturday Connectivity on the M/S Mount Washington

For the first time, the summer schedule has been redesigned to connect the ports of Wolfeboro and Weirs Beach with unprecedented frequency.

  • New Departure from Wolfeboro: In addition to the existing departure at 11:15 AM, the ship will now add a new 1:45 PM departure.
  • New Departure from Weirs Beach: In addition to the ship’s existing departures at 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM, the ship will now add a new 3:00 PM departure.
  • A New Era of Travel: This expansion allows passengers to spend significantly more leisure time exploring the shops, museums, and restaurants of Wolfeboro. Furthermore, passengers boarding from Wolfeboro will now be able to disembark at Weirs Beach, offering a new way to traverse the lake without a car.

The Winnipesaukee Spirit Moves to Center Harbor

In a major expansion of service, the Winnipesaukee Spirit is moving to Center Harbor.

  • Daily Service: For the first time, Mount Washington Cruises will offer sailings from Center Harbor multiple days a week throughout the summer season.
  • New Routes: The Spirit will visit both Center Harbor and Wolfeboro, including a brand-new Sunset Cocktail Cruise departing from the Wolfeboro Town Docks.

The Return of the Winnipesaukee Belle

After a lengthy refurbishment, the Winnipesaukee Belle is officially relaunching from her new port in Meredith.

  • Cruising in Style: The Belle will offer multiple cocktail cruises daily from the Meredith Town Docks, with additional departures from Weirs Beach.
  • Themed Experiences: The new schedule features a variety of curated experiences, including Happy Hour Cruises, Sunset Dessert Cruises, and the return of the fan-favorite Haunted Winnipesaukee Cruises.

Ongoing Port Development: Alton Bay

While the new daily schedule focuses on expanded connectivity between the northern and eastern ports, Mount Washington Cruises is also actively working toward a seasonal return to the southern tip of the lake. The company is currently exploring logistical options for service to Alton Bay and expects to share a formal update regarding the port’s role in the 2026 season in the coming weeks.
